The release of .Net Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 Beta, signaled the release of SL2 Beta 2.  The odd thing about this release are the number of "New" features included in a service pack that usually included bug fixes.  Tim Sneath says,

"Due to some complex build timing issues, this release is incompatible with Silverlight 2 Beta 1; it will, however be compatible with Beta 2 when it ships in a few weeks' time."

An interesting thing included as a "New" feature is a richly-functional WebBrowser control, that can operate in a partially trusted environment!  I'm speculating here, but is it possible that this control could lead in some way to the solution to SL2's "Rich Text" problems?  It is also said to be capable of dynamically creating HTML content via some DOM mechanism.
