Hello
I'm going to make an online application, but I'm very unsure about what system I should build on.
The application is going to be a typical business application, with a database backend and the ui mainly consisting of a datagrid and various graphs, allowing the user to show or enter data. I'm making the program in my sparetime, so developement time is a big concern for me.
Any ideas about what would be the best system for me?
Here is some of my ideas, please correct me and give me new input
Silverlight - pros
-Less server hardware requirements
-Much more interactive and responsive ui
-Easier development (I have not used ASP.NET or AJAX that much)
Silverlight - cons
-Beta 1 is first released in a couple of month
-Users are required to download and install a 4 MB install
