Add webreference to a form authenticated webservice fails

Hi - I have a webservice in a directory requiring  form authentication.

When I try to add a WebReference through VS2005 - I get the following error: The request failed with the error message:

When I remove my web.config - no problem.

There is the same problem calling the webservice through a proxy. If I add form authentication, it fails with the same error. Of course before calling the webservice, I create an authentication ticket.
