Hi All,

I have an application which I'm trying to develop on to allow users to download files from a remote server. In order for them to access the files, they need to be authenticated against the active directory, either through Windows Authentication or Forms authentication.

In addition, they need to have adequate permission in order to be able to download this file. As the server which I'm deploying the component on only has .net 1.1, I cannot use the System.Security.AccessControl (Only available from .net 2.0 framework). Due to this restriction, I have to rely on another component, which make calls to Microsoft.Win32.Security.
