Hi,

I am receiving XML data from another server. It is not very sensitive information but I still would like a level of assurance that it's coming from where I think it's coming. If I check the IP address of the request, how sure can I be that it is coming from the source that I expect? Is it possible for a malicious user to "pretend" to be from that IP address? The data is being sent by HTTP Post. If it was necessary, how would I go about setting up to get it sent (and receive it) using SSL? Could the XML file be encrypted?

Thanks
