rotating images?

I have a table on a page with 3 pictures on it, I am trying to have those pictures rotate every 10 seconds or so with any random picture that is in a specific directory ( like c:\pictures\) and update it without the page getting refreshed.
 
I was thinking of using and updatepanel and put the table inside of it with the 3 images? but how exactly or what exactly is the best way to do it?
 
Any code in VB.NET please.  I don't know how to use the updatepanel to update byitself, so that would be helpful info too.
