I have Visual Web Developer 2010 Express installed on my web server. When I installed Web Developer I chose to not install SQL Server express since I have SQL Server 2008 Express on another server.
I have been able to connect my visual web projects to my database - no problem.
When I try to use the Web Site Administration Tool and go to the security tab, nothing happens. If I go to the Provider tab and test the aspnetsqlprovider I get a message
"Could not establish a connection to the database.
If you have not yet created the SQL Server database, exit the Web Site Administration tool, use the aspnet_regsql command-line utility to create and configure the database, and then return to this tool to set the provider".
How do I make web developer know it has to work with SQLExpress on my sqlserver for security?
