I have been tasked with making changes to a colocated server. I am able to open the site via webdav through a mapped drive. I can edit, save etc but I have three problems:
1) When I try and build from visual studio, it fails with: ASP.NET runtime error: Failed to start monitoring changes to x:
2) Any .aspx I view in the designer has the same error on the first line of the form.
3) Intellisense in the aspx.vb page doesn't work for controls on the .aspx form. I am assuming this is the same root problem.
local: XP sp3, vs2008 sp1, .net 3.5 sp 1
remote: server 2003, .net 2.0
I've tried changing the permissions to the path to give access to aspnet / network service and to make sure the user i am connecting as has full access, but no luck so far. ideas?
