I plan to use SugarCRM for my membership managment. All users will have access to it and actively using it. There is a SugarCRM API that will allow me to validate username/password from a webform.

I have written, and plan to write, a bunch of custom ASP.NET web apps off our IntrAnet and plan to capitalize on the SugarCRM API to authenticate the user but what do I set after I've authenticated? Can I combine ASP.NET Membership architecture with the source of member data coming from the SugarCRM (sql server) database table?

Can't I just set a session variable, or set a cookie, or set a value in the ASP.NET Membership tables? What needs set?

Thanks,
