I recently bought the book titled "Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 with C# - 2006" and I followed all the steps in installing everything, but I got this error.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred
while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found
or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and
that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider:
SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance
Specified)
Im not sure what this error means and the book never mentioned about troubleshooting this error. Im using the latest Visual Web Developer Express edition. Please let me know how to solve this error. I'm new to ASP.NET.
