Could someone please help me on a thing I've been wondering about...I'm about to start coding a site which need authentication and user levels. The only authentication I've looked at is the built-in on in VS 2008, which seems to nothing or all. In addition, the users are created in its own database.
So - is it possible to use this and the build the pages depending on which user is logged in, or do I need to create my own mechanism? Is there a true and tested way of doing this? Can I store the users in SQL? Well, I guess you catch my drift here - and info on authenticating users would be greatly appreciated!
