how to import data from excel to sqlserver 2008 using asp.net and add upload date, user upload.

I'm making an application with functionality to upload data from an excel database sqlserver 2008, using ASP.net and code behind VB.net. The upload process I want to add the date and user uploaded, the data in the upload. How can it be? please help.
