I have a roles-based site with login and permissions set (Finally). When the user logs in they have access to department sections (set by roles). I intend to setup the login to redirect them to their department default page, but for now if they choose a menu item they don't have access to, they're just redirected back to the default page. I think I've found a code-behind to help with this.
What I need help with, is how to direct a user to their individual time sheet page. I had to get something up before I got login security solved (long story). It's not the best solution, but what I did was set up individual pages based on employee ID#s (1234.aspx, 2345.aspx, etc.), then set each employees up with a desktop shortcut. I'm only working with one small department to test the site until it's developed, so it wasn't bad, but I know there must be a more efficient solution.
I'm learning asp.net VB as I go - so I need code I can copy, paste ...
