I'm working on my own custom implementations of Membership and Role providers. What I would like to know is now they interact with one another and what objects I need to override in order to get the results I'm after.
At the moment, I've created a custom membership provider and linked that to a Login control, upon clicking the "Login" button, the ValidateUser method is called and returns true, but the user is not redirected to the resulting page and no calls are made to any of the RoleProvider methods.
From what I've been able to establish, the Membership provider creates a membership user object (at some point?). I think I also need to override this membership user object as I want to change some of its contents to suit my own applications.
Finally, if a user is a member of administrators, I wish to send them off to a different login page as opposed to general users. I've seen many commens ma ...
