I have some code saving a Gridview's data to Excel. It works fine from my development pc, and fine from our development server (IIS6 Windows Server 2003).
However, our production server (also IIS6 Windows Server 2003) the Save to Excel generates an error message:
Internet Explorer cannot download Default.aspx from www.sitename.com
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable of cannot be found. Please try again later.
From google'ing, most articles say to get rid of the Cache-Control: no-cache header which indeed does exist on my site, as I verified with Fiddler.
I tried adding the following in the Page_Load event of default.aspx:
Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.Public);
but no luck, the cache-control header still shows up:
