I have about 1000 workstations sending data to my ASP.NET web app in the form of files. I need to store that data on the web server. The question is how? I have two ideas: One, to store it in an SQL database, and two, to store it as archived ZIP files in a file system on the server. I'm new to this, so can someone suggest a better solution and most importantly -- the implemenation? I program in C#.
Data stats:
- Each data file transmitted is approx. 300k - 500k bytes in size.
- Each workstation would be allowed no more than 4 or 5 data files. Older files should be recycled.
