I am beginner and trying to design a web site application using ASP .Net 3.5. I have a web application with login page and then following that there will be links to different pages on Main Menu page. I want to do authentication of the user on login page using a table in SQL Server database and then depending on type of access user is setup for, will like him to see only relevant links on next page (Main Menu). Is there already some schema built in asp .net that i can leverage on or there are some methodology i can follow to achieve this. If required, I can design table in SQL Server which will define url for all the pages he can view and use that to drive his navigation on the application. At this point I am not sure about my options available. Please advise.
