I took a look at the Data Access section in the Forums. There seem to be many approaches.
The last couple of night I have been working on a PayPal IPN. To get started I was just writing the IPN info out to a text file. Tonight, I want to work on writing to an SQL 2005 datatable that is on the my shared hosted web service.
About 6months or 1 year ago, I did some work on writing to data tables using the methods found in asp.net/learn/dataaccess. This was creating a table, dataset, BLL class and then attaching a objectdatasource to the BLL class.
Now I see that their exist Enity Framework. Also there is Linq to SQL and many more.
I am using WebForms. I want the system to be a) modern (so I am keeping my skills up todate), b) intellisence (if possible) c) follow the Keep It Simple Stupid principle
What method should I be following .... (note I will need to work from tutorials to teach myself how to do this)
Thanks in ad ...
