I am having a bit of a problem. I have created a custom Base page (which inherits from System.Web.UI.Page) which all of my pages (except for login page) use. In this page I have an OnPreInit override method which calls base.OnPreInit and then contains logic which ensures that the logged in user has sufficient privileges to view the page.
This works fine as long as the user uses the navigation on the pages. However, when the user changes page by manually changing the url in the address bar the OnPreInit event doesn't fire and the user is presented with the page regardless of my security logic.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a known workaround?
I have also tried using OnInit and OnLoad but they also have the same problem.
