I have created two webservices on my website in the folder /Services/ called GetPerson.asmx and GetPersonFirstName.asmx, the source code for the services is nearly identical except that another stored procedure is called.
When I am executing the stored procedures with SQL Management Studio they work absolutely fine. When I run my ASP .NET page and type in TextBox1 the service GetPerson works fine,
but when I type in TextBox2 nothing happens, GetPersonFirstName is not working properly. I have switched the site to debug mode and the line where it hangs in GetPersonFirstName.asmx is this one: "SqlDataReader MyReader = MyCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior.CloseConnection);"
It doesn't come any farther than that. I don't understand why, it's working fine with the other service and all the connection, command values etc. show up fine in the debugger.
When I use GetPerson.asmx for TextBox2 it works fin ...
