I know that dynamically created controls do not persist between postbacks unless they are created in the "Page_Init" phase. However, I have to create a control that requires the user's input.
Example:
The user selects an item from drop down list (a state), clicks submit, and the code gets all locations in the states, creates a table on the fly and loads it into a placeholder.
The table has two linkbuttons for:
Editing the store location Deleting the store location
Do you see where this is going?
Since the table is created after the user makes her/his selection (after pre_init, etc.) there is no way to make it persist.
I tried to load the table into the page's viewsate, but I got an error that I could not resolve by searching the web.
I need help!
