Redirect to another Page within the Model Dialog

Hi,
I have two applications (asp.net, MVC). I am opening MVC application as Model Dialog from asp.net application. I need to redirect from one view to another view with in Model Dialog window but it is not working. If I try to redirect, instead of redirecting within Model Dialog, it  is opening another new window (normal window). This issue is only on IE.
Parent - ASP.Net
 window.showModalDialog(url, '', "resizeable:yes;dialogWidth:1280px;dialogHeight:1000px");
Child - MVC (ModelDialog)
$("#buttonSearch").click(function () {
window.location = "/Customer/Search/";
}
Please suggest solution in this scenario.
