It seems I need to learn and consider a lot of things before my site can be accessible by the public. For starters, I will have to find a web hosting site that supports ASP.NET and SQL Server? I've developed by site using both VWD 2008 Express and SQL Server 2005 Express, now I got a word from a friend that I cannot simply ask a hosting site to publish it as simple as that?
Another issue is, because I've been using XP Home Edition and Express tools from Microsoft, I would have to purchase an IIS server to make it work, because the development server that comes with VWD Express only works in my pc and cannot be used as a deployment server!?? Now how simple is that?
Please advise what are the things i'm missing here. I thought learning and developing web app using asp.net can be fun and simple without the hassles of considering a lot of things for public site viewing.
