I need some help on how to improve the performance of my aspx pages.  The pages (different websites, different IIS application pools) vary from simple web forms to slightly more SQL-intensive tables and gridviews.  If the page is loaded for the first time, it can take anywhere between 30 seconds to 1 minute.  Closing it and opening it again loads it almost instantly - this leaves me to think that there must be some way to cache the pages on the server?

I build the aspx paged before uploading them and don't use any legacy tags, etc.  Please help a newb as slow-loading web apps are likely to put my users off from making use of them :(
