I've been asked to work on a website and I'm having a hard time evaluating if it is something I can do. I know how to develop and code sites in HTML/CSS. The site in question is

And my questions are (and excuse my ignorance):
- Can I create standard html pages for the pages in the site that are not password protected? In other words, can some pages be .aspx and others hmtl within the same directory?
- For the login page and password protected side, can I design around the other script. I'm thinking worse case I just replace the banner and navigation in the password protected side. The login side has client invoices and such.
