Im trying to use a DropDownList to show some product categories, which i can choose in a DetailsView. It all works great in the DetailsViews "Edit" mode, but when i which to go to "New/Create" mode i get an error telling me that the DropDownList cant find the SelectedIndex. And this problem is showing because when i switch to "New/Create" mode the SelectedIndex doesn't have any value. Can i somehow set the SelectedIndex when i "Edit" mode and then switch the SelectedIndex off when in "New/Create" mode? ...
