 Hi all,
I would like to POST a FORM server side to Protx payment gateway. Currently while on the checkout page of my website, when someone clicks the pay now button, the postback runs code to write the order into the database. At this point, I also generate a HTML FORM (not runat="server") that holds all of the post data ready to send to the payment gateway. At first I had a submit button to do this but I felt it was cumbersome in that someone would have to do two clicks; one to post back and save the order and then another click to send the HTML FORM to pay now (again). To avoid two clicks I used javascript to automatically POST the FORM to the gateway when the page reloads after saving the order. This too looks not very streamlined.
What I would like to do is both in one step; click 'pay now'  which posts back and writes the order to the database and if this is successful run server side code that generates a FORM and POSTS it to the paymen ...
