Please can you help me... I have a web form that searches a sql 2005 database for sales goods. All my search fields are dropdownlists and i'd like to make the first item in each list something like "Please Select" or similar.
Now my problem is that not all the fields are compulsory so the searcher can leave same field as "Please Select". In my sql datasource i modified my select query to resemble samething like this:
Select * from [Table] WHERE (((@make IS NULL) OR ([make] = @make)) AND (@model IS NULL) OR ([model] = @model)))
And i made my first item in the each DDL have a text proterty of "Please Select" and Value property of ""
