Hi,
I have a public website on a standalone external web server which needs to keep anonymous access turned on to work correctly.
My problem is I need to get the Windows 'domain\username' of the client submitting a form located in a specific directory.
I thought I could use Windows authentication on that directory then get the username with:
httpcontext.current.user.identity.name()
But this doesn't work, the users are all considered unauthenticated as the web server is completely seperate to their network.
Is there a way I may be missing of me getting the 'domain\username' of the client using Windows authentication? Or even a simpler way?
All clients who will be submitting forms will be on the same domain but the website needs to remain on the external server.
Thanks in advance,
Craig
