For setting the maximum length for multiline textbox i have coded as follows:
<asp:TextBox ID="txtAddress" runat="server" TextMode="MultiLine" Width="200px"
MaxLength="300" Height="86px" Font-Names="Arial" Font-Size="10pt" onkeypress="return SetMaximumLegth(this,300)"></asp:TextBox>
and the javascript function is as follows: function SetMaximumLegth(txt,max) {
try {
if (txt.value.length> (max-1 )) {
return false;
}
}
catch (e) {
}
}
In IE it is working fine. But in mozilla once the maximum length is reached , i can't press backspace and select the text and delete it.< ...
