timer

c# frmwrk 1.1 mssql2000

1)sendmailpage.aspx sends mail(get the email ids for eg 100 from db and send mail) ,the code to send mail is writtten on page load.

2)to run this page i want to use timer in the following way

    a)in global.asax in application start i will trigger a funtion( which is in .cs file )

    b)this .cs file has timer funtion which runs every 5 min and trigger a funtion which should basically call the sendmailpage.aspx

        since in sendmailpage.aspx the code is written on page load whenever the timer fuction calls it the sendmailpage.aspx load internally in server and    send mail

 

NOW MY QUESTION is

1)how effective is this procedure to send mails

2)my timer.cs is
