I have a javascript file referenced from a web page (.aspx file) making asynchronous request to my web service page (.asmx file). Everything works fine when in debug-mode (visual studio 2008); The problem occurs when I publish the site to the IIS 5.1 web server on my Windows XP computer. If I browse to the web page from my computer everything works fine but when I try from another computer within the network everything is ok until the asynchronous request is made. I receive the 500 error code and in firebug it gives me this error:
Access to restricted URI denied" code: "1012"
I've been looking around and I know we cannot make cross-domain requests without a proxy but my web service is in the same domain and all my paths are relative-to-root.
I'm wondering if the problem is not at server level? I'm proba ...
