Hi ... I want to know how to implement the following
The news page appears when the user logs into the system, providing that there are any news items to display and the user has not yet chosen not to display any of them.
The functionality is identical to that of some online banking sites, where, on login, the user is informed of any changes to their account?s conditions etc. They can then click a ?I have read this? tick box and so not be shown the message again. The user is then taken to their account home page.
1. The user logs in
2. The system checks for any recent news item that has not been read by the user.
If an item has not been read, it will have its ?itemRead? flag set to false.
3. If there are no news items the user is taken to the ~/default.aspx page
4. If there is a news item, it is displayed (see screenshot). The checkbox is always set to be unticked in this case.
5. If the user does not tick the checkbox, and clicks ?continu ...
