Loading database from a BAK file in 2008

I am trying to restore a database from a BAK file and I get the following error message.
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio ------------------------------
The Database Engine service could not resolve the specified file location. Either the location does not exist, or the current login account does not  have access to it. Verify that the file location exists, and that the login account has permissions on it.

OK ------------------------------
I have access permissions and the file path exists so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
