I'm trying to develop an intranet site, that interacts with the domain controller for windows authentication. I enabled digest authentication on IIS and authentication in my web.config is set to windows.
Everything works fine, except that on every browser (sometimes IE8, sometimes not) the user is asked to validate their login for almost every object on the web page. I have tested this on my Windows 7 machine. I've logged into the domain using my DOMAIN/Username and that works just fine. I go to the intranet site, and it asks me for my credentials. Personally, I was under the impression that digest authentication (or windows authentication for that matter) won't ask for login information if you are already logged into the domain.
Skipping ahead to the real problem, not only does the website ask me for the login information to visit the website it also asks for my login information multiple times. I have to log in about 10 different times total, once for each ...
