DNS Updates in C# 3.5

I know that ASP.NET 1.1 had the WMI.  However, I was wondering has the WMI been deprecated or enhanced to another set of classes in .net 3.5?

When managing DNS records through .net 3.5, should I continue to use the WMI or is there something better?
