asp:hyplerlink OnClick?

I am currently using the OnClick event of a button to launch a modalpopupextender.  I would prefer to launch the modal popup extender from a hyperlink or label but neither have an "OnClick" type event associated with them.  Has anyone done anything like this or point me in the right direction?
