I have a aspx page which got a listbox inside the updatepanel. listbox is populated from the database and selected items are defined inside the onInit function.
Also there is a button that opens a popup page. In the popup page I have a button that saves the table used by listbox data, then it refreshes the parent page and closes popup.
Problem part:

on page refresh, ListBox is populated properly from the database but the selected items does not change to new ones. I have checked the page code; although the listbox seem to have newly selected items as selected on the code, they are not shown on the page rather shows the old one.
