What is wrong with the following statement in c#

I get an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" with the following statement is c#
if (! string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(Session["LoginID"].ToString()) && (string)(Session["LoginID"]) != null)   What am I doing wrong?
