using vb.net 1.1/sql2000, i created a datatable (dt) using following sql
select col1, col2, udfn(col1) as col3 from table1
so the col3 is returned from another table (say table2) based on col1 value using a user defined function. once the datatable (dt) created, binding it to a 3rd party grid:
grid1.datasource=dt
i edited the col2 in the grid1 from 2 to 3 and clicked save button which executes sqldataadapter (da) update command:
da.selectcommand=("select * from table1 where 1=0",conn)
da.update(dt)
i get ado.net concurrencty violation error in above code.
is it possible to to save only col1 and col2 to table1 in database eventhough displaying col3 only in grid for user info.?
