How to set MultiView ActiveIndex programmatically

Hi,

I use a menu and a MultiView controls to implement some Tabs as explain in this post:  http://www.codeproject.com/KB/custom-controls/TabControl.aspx.  I want to set activeViewIndex programmatically from a  page which is not within the control. I use a QueryString to call the web page containing the MultiView control, with the index of the view to activate as parameter and assign it to ActiveIndex property in Page_load(), But it will work! In the paper http://blogs.msdn.com/tinghaoy/archive/2005/12/15/504357.aspx#_Toc122434065, it said that we can change the MultiView nagivation logic to QueryString, but, how do I do that. I will appreciate any help!
