I'm trying to add the website's domain/URL to the Trusted Sites zone (if it's not already there) when the user visits the website. I'm doing this on the Page_Load event of my Login page. I've read some posts in this forum as well as other material and basically the answers I have read are negative.
These negative answers are about trying to manipulate the Security interface of the Internet Options in IE. Some folks said that this can't be done, period. I still tried anyway but no luck, so I decided to take another route.
I've worked with the Registry in the past (in Win apps only of course) so I gave it a try. The problem is that this works fine on localhost, but when I deploy it to production it fails. I get the "Object Reference Not Set to an Instance of an object". Why I get the error on production and not in localhost? Is there a better way to accomplish this? Any h ...
