Nested controls and OnInit event

Hi All,

I have got two controls on my page. User control C1 and on C1 control I have custom server control C2.

C2 control has ConnectionString property and OnInit event it is connecting to the database. I want to pass the connection string info to C2 control before OnInit is fired on that control. I really don't how to do that.

C2 OnInit is fired before page and C1 OnInit events. I even tried to pass connection string on Page_PreInit. But is seems to be to early because C1 and C2 are not initialized yet.

I would be grateful for any help.
