FormsAuthenticationTicket, IE not remembering the cookie.

Hi,
 
I used the 
FormsAuthenticationTicket to save the username and password in a cookie. So that the client will not have to enter the username and password repeatedly, but the browser will automatically store the username and password, using the save uaername and password prompt option. Chrome and Firefox is saving the username and password, but IE is in no mood to do that.
Where am I going wrong?
