user.identity not working

Hello,

I created a .net membership provider and which works and is ok.

But when I login and add this to my page, I get nothing

 

  protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {

          Label1.Text = Page.User.Identity.Name.ToString();

   }

 

I also want to pass the value of the logged in user to my objectdatasource as

    protected void ObjectDataSource_PhoneGroups_Selecting(object sender, ObjectDataSourceSelectingEventArgs e)
    {
        e.InputParameters["username"] = Page.User.Identity.Name.ToString();
    }

 

But I get nothing back. Works ok if I use a page without a masterpage file, BUT NOT WITH THE MASTERPAGE
