I uninstalled an application, including its web.config file. However, IIS7 still refers to the path of the removed web.config file in its Default Website. Now, when I try to display LocalHost in the browser, an error appears ("HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal
Server Error. The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.")
When I try to reinstall the application, the installer simply stops and closes.
Would removing the Default Website from IIS7 be advisable?
