I have a TreeView which gets populated from a database.  I have been seeing performance problems in the browser if I have too many nodes (more than about 200) in the Treeview - it can take anything up to 5 seconds just to select a node, which I believe is all happening in javascript at the client.  So I have changed it to use the PopulateOnDemand feature, to keep the node count lower.  I am also removing the child nodes of any node that the user collapses, also in the interests of keeping the node count as low as possible.
But what I see is that when I clear the child nodes of a node that is collapsed, I cannot re-populate it if the user expands it again, because the TreeNodePopulate event never fires again for that node.  I can see in the debugger that in the TreeNodeCollapsed event, the PopulateOnDemand property for the node is actually set to False at that point.  I tried setting it back to True, but it did not help.
