Hi all,
I am struggling with page rendering times when using a few user controls embedded in an .aspx (I already have only the aspx storing viewstate, enabled httpcompression, and server side caching of viewstate data). Not all of the usercontrols are used in every case, but I use the "Register" page attribute for all of them on the aspx.
At the moment I use the visibility property to turn them off and on, but it seems in this case the controls are still being initialised? And possibly even databound?
Should I load them dynamically then? And if I do, my understanding is that I can only do so at page.init? What is the best way to achieve this from, say, a click event? Do I listen for a particular control to postback?
Thanks,
Derick
