I attemp to create a website using asp.net that allow the users to have their own spaces, where the address of it is a sub domain of the main site.
For example: sara's space= http://www.mysite.com/sara , in other words I wana do like the famous sites (flickr, formspring, facebook, ect...)
I thought about creating a new page for each registered member with his name as the page name, it is a regular method but it looks like duplicating the same template :(
Then I thought about the MVC but what can I do is having the user name as a parameter, like: http://www.mysite.com/userspace?user=sara , which not what I want
I searched about that thing and I get results about URL Forwarding and Redirecting which I don't think it's waht I need
So, I'm wondering about the easiest way and the technique to do the website with subdomai ...
