I am pretty new to ASP.NET and am wondering how I would go about making a navigational bar like MySpace homepage, www.myspace.com? Would I use the ASP.NET menu control with a sitemap file and CSS Friendly adapters or is there a better way of doing it? I was trying to figure out how they get the somewhat 3D look and how to get the submenu to look the way it does. Is it a lot of custom CSS or did they just implement the CSS friendly adapters and menu control and add a little bit of custom CSS? Ive been trying this out for a couple of days now and cant seem to get this working.
Also, I put the menu control in my root directory .master page and the pages in that directory work fine, but when I go down into a subdirectory those pages do not want to implement the menu correctly like on the root directory. The menu goes to just displaying one level of the sitemap and has no styling. Why is this? Thanks for all the help you can give me!
